CONCEPT

Binding the threads of a Colourful world. When I visited Poipet in Cambodia during a study tour, I faced the reality that neither financial aid nor relief can solve basic problems causing poverty, and that support cannot be sustained Then I felt that the most important thing is to establish a system for the people, which they can make lives for themselves with self-esteem. That made me start to ponder what I can sustainably contribute to them as a person who shares the same world. After going to India and Nepal, I encountered beautiful fabric produced with traditional manufacturing processes by the women working in a *fair trade organization. I was very impressed by products that showed high quality, creativity and producer`s skills. Moreover, I was struck by the women working lively.

hands

It came to my mind that I want to produce and introduce products which make both the people who produce, and the purchaser, happy. This is how Sernedip started. It is said that Serendip is the ability to find happiness through an accidental encounter. Envisioning the background of the products you picked up because of its beauty and the people involved may make your way of life colourful. Making that fabric shine from all the people involved in production, like a colourful textile. I strongly think it would be very nice if we could realize such a world. The people who produce and those who buy, These two yarns are spun and woven like a colourful world. That is our vision.
